What if, just for one week, you experienced your daily life without relying on driving a car? How might it change your perspective on the way our community moves?
From September 29 to October 5, Local Motion invites you to join the Week Without Driving Challenge — a national effort to experience what life is like for millions of people who can’t drive due to age, disability, income, or personal choice.
Whether you're walking to work, waiting on the Gold Route, or navigating Columbia’s missing sidewalks, this week is an opportunity to learn what’s working and what’s not in our local transportation system.
The challenge started in Washington with Anna Zivarts, (our keynote from our transportation summit this April!) and has gone national, with elected officials, advocates, and community members all stepping into new perspectives.
Columbia needs your voice in this conversation. Your experience can help shape a safer, more connected, more inclusive way of getting around.
